Once frowned upon, street art has become a key visitor attraction in many major cities. Even the local urban area near my home has a devoted alley for artists to paint. My goal for this project is to capture the viewers' attention through color and whimsy. Having an appreciation for street art, I have taken over 400 photos. Most of these were taken while traveling. Every time I go to a new area, I find and photograph as many murals as possible during my stay. While looking through these photos, I found three themes that seem to be used regularly in street murals. The three are flowers, faces, and animals. Using these subjects, I created montage 16x20 giclee prints. Each image within the montage is from a portion of the whole mural. These prints are featured here on my website and in my home studio.
