Hey there! I'm Ginger, a native Texan, photographer, artist, genealogist, foodie, and traveler. I have loved all forms of art since I was a child. Especially pieces with lots of color and shape. My love for color started with my first box of 64 crayons. Granny smith apple, scarlet, wisteria, robin's egg blue, magenta, and salmon. Who wouldn't be excited about colors with names like that?
When I was in high school, I got my first camera. At first, my only photographic goal was to feed my scrapbooking habit. But eventually, I picked up the hobby of genealogy. So I became our family historian, photographer, and memorabilia collector.
For the last several years, my focus has switched from documentary/family photography to artistic photography. This switch also led to a desire to create my own art pieces through painting. Currently, acrylics, alcohol inks, and watercolor are my preferred mediums, but I continue experimenting with new materials and techniques.
My art, no matter its form, is about finding and experiencing life's colorful beauty and richness. Making art, taking photos, and researching genealogy feed my creative nature and contribute to my creative experiments. I want my work to inspire others to bravely embrace and explore their interests.
